Elina Sakketou joins Aestate with a strong background in both architecture and the built environment. Originally from Greece, she completed 5 years of architecture in the Polytechnic University of Patras and became a licensed architect. She later moved to the Netherlands to pursue the master’s program Management in the Built Environment (MBE) at TU Delft, focusing on real estate management, construction management, building economics, and data management.
Her graduation research explores predictive AI for real estate long-term portfolio decision-making, specifically using space‑optimization analysis for educational institutions. With six years of experience as an architect and junior project manager in Greece and the Netherlands, she brings hands‑on expertise in designing, coordinating, and managing residential and retail projects from concept to completion.
Why Aestate?
Elina first met Aestate at the TU Delft graduation market and immediately felt a connection. As she recalls: “I quickly understood that there was an alignment between us.” The combination of her AI‑driven research interests and Aestate’s work within public real estate, particularly in the Huisvesting & Vastgoed and Data & Informatie teams, made the match feel natural.
Beyond the content, she was drawn to the atmosphere: “I really liked the energy of the people working here and their rich professional background.” She also values Aestate’s collaborative mindset and its drive to integrate innovation into real estate: “Aestate has an advantage because it brings together diverse expertise with a common mission, the improvement of the Built Environment.”
Graduating at Aestate
At Aestate, Elina will focus on Smart Buildings and on using AI to predict future space demand for teaching spaces in educational institutions. Her goal is to support more informed long‑term real estate decisions in the education sector. She looks forward to deepening her knowledge in real estate and data‑driven project work, improving her Dutch, and getting to know the people behind Aestate.
